Davis Design Partners’ “Get Out The Vote” poster selected by AIGA

October 20, 2008

Davis Design Partners has had its “VOTE / VETO” poster submission selected by an AIGA National jury of peers for inclusion in the 2008  Design for Democracy “Get OUt The Vote” initiative. The firm joins 23 other designers, whose collective work aims to create nonpartisan communication that inspirs the American public to participate in the electoral process and to vote in the 2008 general election. Over 230 submissions from across the country were submitted for consideration.

Over 50,000 copies of each poster were distributed to 62 AIGA chapters across the United States. As the November 4th general election drew near, each poster found its temporary home in the window of a storefront, restaurant, dormitorie, laundromat and wherever else was appropriate, across the entire country. In addition, the poster collection was on display at both the Denver Art Museum (during the Democratic National Convention) and the Walker Art Center (during the Republican National Convention), as well as simultaneously exhibited at the AIGA National Design Center Gallery in New York City.
