ISACA “Taking Governance Forward” Website

The IT Governance Institute (ITGI)—a non­profit, inde­pen­dent research arm of global mem­ber­ship asso­ci­a­tion ISACA (Information Systems Audit and Control Association)—along with infor­ma­tion archi­tec­ture and design by DDP, launched Taking Governance Forward, a free online resource that pro­vides a dynamic way for peo­ple to learn the lat­est on gov­er­nance and join the debate on how to make it work for their organizations.

The Taking Governance Forward web­site encour­ages col­lab­o­ra­tion, cre­ates a com­mon def­i­n­i­tion of gov­er­nance and pro­vides a com­pre­hen­sive, yet simple-to-use, overview of gov­er­nance. Its prac­ti­cal tools and inno­v­a­tive “gov­er­nance on a page” con­cept offer clear guid­ance for imple­ment­ing effec­tive gov­er­nance. Features include: Discussion forums, wikis, com­mon agreed-to def­i­n­i­tions, map­ping details, dia­grams to illus­trate the con­cepts. Built uti­liz­ing the lat­est in web tech­nolo­gies (HTML4, CSS 2.1, AJAX, et al.), and built in Microsoft Sharepoint®, we were able to take com­plex visual and ver­bal infor­ma­tion, dis­play its inter­re­la­tions, and allow web­site vis­i­tors to inter­act with it, in real-time.
