This design competition Call for Entries presented the theme “Breaking Barriers” in a visually engaging and playful manner by echoing the environment in which the awards show would take place (Kiawah, South Carolina). Well-known illustrator, graphic designer and educator McRay Magleby illustrated a palm tree breaking through the clouds, symbolizing the winning efforts of all who entered the competition. It was printed on uncoated paper and formatted in a dramatic vertical layout. |
