University Spirit/Goldden Corporation engaged DDP to redesign its e-com­merce web­site, PurdueGear​.com, a top-rank­ing online source for Purdue University mer­chan­dise. A fresh site design, pur­pose­ful­ly and close­ly aligned with the brand­ing iden­ti­ty of Purdue University itself, was devel­oped that includ­ed improved site usability/functionality, data-dri­ven page con­tent and an exten­sive web brows­er-based con­tent man­age­ment sys­tem (CMS).
An engag­ing sys­tem of copy­writ­ing head­lines on both the home­page and inte­ri­or search and item pages keeps the site look­ing and feel­ing new at all times, while adding a wit­ty sense of humor to the entire vis­tor expe­ri­ence. Handy site fea­tures such as a “Recently Viewed Item(s)” mod­ule, and a list­ing of upcom­ing Purdue University sport­ing events help to extend and sup­port the Purdue fan base at all times. A com­pre­hen­sive shop­ping cart, com­plete with a “Wish List,” “Email A Friend,” com­ple­ment full Account man­age­ment, site-wide price dis­count­ing based on coupons/codes, cal­cu­lat­ed ship­ping charges, and numer­ous oth­er e-com­merce fea­tures.
