Marking its 100-year anniversary, Purdue Theatre at Purdue University engaged Davis Design Partners for a third year to design and produce its 2006–2007 season brochure and collateral materials. Our challenge this year was to present an entire season of six distinctly different plays to the public, while also explaining to viewers that the theatre itself was now operating out of new facilities in the recently completed Visual and Performing Arts building. While adhering to a strict budget, this year’s brochure captured the dynamic nature of each play—all this without an increase in budget. Posters, postcards, playbills, and a TV spot accompanied the brochure, as well as the creation of a unique “100-year” celebration mark, to be used throughout the season.
