University School’s REACH brochure was designed to promote and inform the public and prospective students about this unique and highly competitive 3-year/3-summer enrichment program for academically-talented African-American middle-school boys. The piece was designed to make the reader feel connected to the program. The story starts by asking the reader to “Imagine a Place…”. Large-scale, engaging photographs are paired with poignant statements, reflective of the big-picture benefits of the program—that is, encouraging students to set high goals, believe in themselves, and achieve those goals through hard work and dedication.
