American Society of Anesthesiologists Website Redesign

The 44,000 mem­bers of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) rely on the asahq​.org web­site for time­ly, trust­wor­thy and accu­rate infor­ma­tion 24÷7÷365. Founded in 1905, ASA serves as an edu­ca­tion­al, research and sci­en­tif­ic asso­ci­a­tion of physi­cians orga­nized to raise and main­tain the stan­dards of the med­ical prac­tice of anes­the­si­ol­o­gy and improve the care of the patient.

Davis Design Partners designed a site built around clear­ly defined con­stituen­cies that facil­i­tat­ed access to infor­ma­tion using a vari­ety of Web 2.0 user inter­face tech­nolo­gies. The result is a much more dense and fea­ture-rich web­site that is acces­si­ble and friend­ly, while pur­pose­ful­ly rein­forc­ing the ASA brand. Site fea­tures includ­ed full mem­ber pro­file man­age­ment, a robust Knowledge Base library of search­able con­tent, a full-fea­tured cal­en­dar of events, a faceted search tool, plus numer­ous mini-sites that sup­port ini­tia­tives and events, such as the ASA Annual Meeting. All of this func­tion­al­i­ty is man­aged through an exten­sive and robust back-end CMS.
