University Spirit/Goldden Corporation engaged DDP to redesign its e‑commerce website, PurdueGear.com, a top-ranking online source for Purdue University merchandise. A fresh site design, purposefully and closely aligned with the branding identity of Purdue University itself, was developed that included improved site usability/functionality, data-driven page content and an extensive web browser-based content management system (CMS).
An engaging system of copywriting headlines on both the homepage and interior search and item pages keeps the site looking and feeling new at all times, while adding a witty sense of humor to the entire vistor experience. Handy site features such as a “Recently Viewed Item(s)” module, and a listing of upcoming Purdue University sporting events help to extend and support the Purdue fan base at all times. A comprehensive shopping cart, complete with a “Wish List,” “Email A Friend,” complement full Account management, site-wide price discounting based on coupons/codes, calculated shipping charges, and numerous other e‑commerce features.
